Mobile app
Updated on July 9, 2026
The AccessTime app for iOS and Android lets everyone clock in from their phone, see their hours and request absences without opening the web dashboard. It connects to the same AccessTime account; there's no separate user to create.
Installing and signing in
- Download AccessTime from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
- Open it and enter your AccessTime email and password — the same ones you'd use to sign in to the web dashboard.
- If your company set up your account, you received those credentials by email. If it's your first time and you don't have a password yet, use "I forgot my password" on the web to set one, then sign in to the app.
The app session is independent of the browser session: signing out in one place doesn't sign you out of the other.
Clocking in and out
- The main button clocks in or out automatically based on your last entry: if your last entry was a clock-in, the next tap records a clock-out, and vice versa.
- If your company has it enabled, the app attaches your location to the entry (the first time, it asks for location permission; you can decline and the entry is still recorded, just without coordinates).
- Every entry is stamped with the
appmethod, so in the reports it's distinguishable from those made on the web or at the QR kiosk.
Checking your hours
- Today: the list of your entries for the day, in your company's time zone.
- Week: your entries for the current week.
- Monthly summary: the total worked for the month, calculated from the nightly consolidation — the same data your manager sees in the working-time record report.
Absences from your phone
- Check your holiday balance and the absence types available to you.
- Request an absence (holiday, leave, etc.) by entering the dates; the request enters the same approvals flow as if you'd asked for it on the web, and you'll get the answer once your manager resolves it.
If you forget to clock in
If one day you forget to clock in or out, don't fix it "by hand" in the app: open a clock-in issue (on the web, under Clock-in issues) so your manager can approve it and the change is audited, as the working-time record requires. See Corrections and requests.
Would you rather use a shared tablet?
For teams that clock in at a common point (warehouse, shop, reception), alongside the personal app there's the QR kiosk: a shared tablet where each person clocks in by scanning their code.
